tkimmins is correct. Northern Lights can see seen from Denali during the winter months.
I was there in late August. Cool weather, didn't see one mosquito. I thought that to be unusual. It was sunny all day and maybe that kept them at bay.
Noooo
It is absolutely beautiful. Lots of animals out as well.
Weather dependant in the fall it took us about 4 hours.
I don't recall any sand pits on our visit. Perhaps you would need to contact the National Park service for an "official" answer.
Driving is easiest, can check on availability
Yes,
Beautiful National Park in Alaska. We had our best time at this park. Bus trips provided by the NPS helped us a lot to see wilderness of this national park. We saw Grizzly Bears on that trip. We never forget watching Northern Lights from this park. Absolute stunning.
We flew to anchorage and rented a car. The next day we drove to Denali National park. The Denali National park is a massive Alaskan wilderness. Unfortunately the mountain was not visible. One of the highlights of our trip was the train ride from anchorage to Seward. We sat in the glass dome section of the train which had stunning views of the mountains, rivers, and waterfalls! We also enjoyed a four hours boat tour to see glaciers and sea lions
Went backpacking here for the first time. Twas an incredible experience. Bring binoculars and please keep the park clean!
It was great! We saw Grizzlies, Caribou, Fox, Dahl Sheep, Moose, a piece of Mt. Denali and a lot of beautiful Views. The tour bus driver gave us Denali 101. If you could remember everything he said, you could be hired on with the park service. The buses now have small TV screens tied to the tour guides binoculars, so what he stops to see you can see it in the bus. It was awesome!!!. We went 62 miles into the park. It was worth every cent we paid. Making this a National Park is one thing the government did right. Bring Binoculars!
Obviously this place is epic..Took the adventure bus tour. The tour wasn't cheap, but it was well worth it..Alan was our driver, and he's fantastic. Incredibly knowledgeable and informative. I'll be back.
